Medha Michika is a disciple of Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati. She started her study of Vedanta, Paninian Sanskrit grammar, and chanting at Dayananda Ashram in Rishikesh, in 2007. She studied from Swami Aparokshananda and Swami Guhatmananda as a resident student until 2010. By the guidance of Pujya Swamiji, she shifted to AVG, Coimbatore, in 2010 to attend the 3 year course in Vedanta and Sanskrit, conducted by Pujya Swamiji, Swami Sakshatkrtananda, and Swami Shankarananda. Pujya Swamiji arranged a serious study of Paninian Sanskrit grammar for her under Swamini Brahmaprakashananda during the course. She also studied from Swamini Brahmaprakashananda’s disciple Swami Shivaprakashananda.
After completing the course in 2013, as per Pujya Swamiji’s wish, she remains in the Gurukulam and teaches Sanskrit grammar in the current 3 year course. She has written and published many books on Sanskrit grammar. These books are being followed for teaching Sanskrit in the current course. The Sanskrit for Vedanta Student series of books are designed especially for Vedanta Students to understand slokas and read bhasya within a short time.
She is an excellent teacher, with the ability to visualize the tables and sutras enabling simple explanation and making it easy to remember. Her intelligence and understanding of the workings of her students mind is brought out in her arrangement of the concepts and bringing the necessary and relevant chapters at the apt time. She is a compassionate teacher willing to help anyone at any time.
Medha Michika was a software engineer working in US and Japan prior to taking up the study of Vedanta.
